Basic Page

Shape: Choose the tool shape from this list. We have a wide range of shapes to choose from.

Range: This is the station range for the tool. As you enter the tool parameters, this will update automatically if a bigger/smaller station is required.

Tool parameters: The actual parameters displayed here depend on the tool shape you choose. As you vary the tool parameters, the graphical display shows a scale drawing of the tool (the circle represents the size of the station in which the tool is to be mounted).

Attributes: Turn on the special attributes required for this tool (like Nibbling, Slitting etc).

Min and max process length: Set the minimum and maximum length of segments for which this tool can be used.

Tool sort level: The sort level is an attribute that can be used for sorting (see the section on Set Sort Level for more details). The sort level that you set for a tool will be applied to all tooling created using that tool. (There are some exceptions, in that some patterns will apply their own sorting levels for tooling that they create).
