Dies Page

Along with each tool you can define up to 5 dies and set up rules that define which die is used based on the material and thickness. Each material type is defined into five thickness classes, V. Thin, Thin, Standard, Thick and V. Thick.

(The actual definition of the maximum thickness for each material is defined in the Material Thickness Limits section of the Laser Database. If you want to refer to the actual thickness limits that are used to classify a particular material, choose that material in the reference material box, and the thickness limits for that material are displayed).

First, use the Add Die and Remove Die buttons to set up the dies, along with their die clearances. Then, for each of the five different categories of thickness, you can indicate which die is to be used. For some machines, you can also indicate the M-Code that is used when the tool is used (consult your OEM documentation for more details on these fields).
