Time Study

This tool is used to do a time study of the cutting time for a punch or laser part.

Depending on the cutting technique will depend on what the time study dialogue will show. As shown below, the punch time study will show the traverse time, punching, tool change, indexing, repositioning, and shearing, and will calculate the total time for the whole process. Whereas for the laser, the time study will show piercing, cutting, rapid traverse, corner dwell, and repositioning and again the total time is taken.

If the part has not been tooled then the time-related entries will be blank, and only the part weight will be displayed.
