Delete Material Option

Select the Material, Raw Material or Individual Sheets and use the Delete command to delete the selected item. Workflow prompts with a confirmation message before the item is deleted. All children are deleted when an item is deleted at the parent level. So, when a material is deleted, all raw materials and sheets under it are deleted as well. Similarly, when raw material is deleted, all sheets are also deleted.

The following delete constraints are applied to the delete operation:
- Material cannot be deleted if any of its raw materials or sheets are linked to existing parts or layouts.
- Raw material cannot be deleted if it is linked to existing parts or contains a sheet that is linked to a layout.
- A sheet cannot be deleted if it is linked to the layouts.
An error message is displayed if the item being deleted fails the delete constraint.

The delete operation follows the all-or-none principle. So, delete will not be applied even if a single child fails the delete constraint.
