Editing a Job
To prevent multiple users from editing the same document together, Praxis supports checking out a document for editing. The document (part, tooling, and job) can be checked out by a user using the check-out command. Once checked out, the Job displays the user icon with check-out details as a tooltip.

This will display the Editing Job dialogue. In this screen, the job reference, customer, comments, quantity, due date, priority and part order can all be modified. There is also an option to remove parts from the Job or to add extra parts to the JOB. If adding more parts, a list of all the parts in the part library will be shown for the user to select the desired parts to add.

In addition to adding parts you can also use the Group By selector to add Parts, Assemblies or Orders.

Praxis displays a warning message with old and new quantities if some of the parts already exist in the job.

Select the parts using the checkbox and press the Remove… button to remove the parts from the Job. Press OK to save the changes to the Praxis repository. Praxis warns the user if an empty job is saved.

Line items in a job can be searched by the part name.

Click on the Rotation cell to edit the part rotation value and select from the rotation options depending on the value being selected the option G can display either an option to Reset Default or Set Default.
