Filter Drop-down Options
It is possible to search for parts based on their tooling status, production feasibility, used punch, bend tools, etc. Pre-defined filter choices enhance the filter’s usability further. Based on the selected column, the search icon changes to a drop-down button. Clicking this icon (or using the Down Arrow keyboard shortcut when the keyboard cursor is on the search box) brings up the choice’s drop-down. The drop-down contains a list of items that can be selected to quickly apply a filter.

Command | Shortcut | Description |
Clear Selection![]() | Ctrl + X | Selecting None unselects all selected choices and refreshes the filter item’s view. |
Select Highlighted![]() | Ctrl + A | All highlighted options are selected. This command stays disabled if item highlighting is not applicable for the selected field. |
Apply All![]() | & | Applies ALL (vs. ANY) chosen options to the filter match |
Pin In/Out Menu![]() | Ctrl + Down/Up | When pinned, the drop-down menu stays open even when the current focus moves to another window. |
Close Menu![]() | Esc | Closes the drop-down menu. |
Typically, choice items are prepared based on the field semantics. For instance, for all fields representing a Date/Time (timestamp), the choices display a date or a date range value: today, yesterday, last 3 days, etc. Images below display such range filters for thickness and weight fields.

Range filter values are unit-aware, and slightly different values are used for metric and inch units. This is done to show friendlier values that are easier to identify (so a length value of 5″ is used instead of 5.08″). Just like expression-based filters, these filters can be added to the filter list. The filter button label displays a number of selected items if multiple choices are selected. Placing the mouse over the filter button displays the selected choices. Click on the filter button again to edit the search box.
