Part Command Panel

The Part Command panel is displayed by right-clicking on a part or by using the shortcut key C. In this command panel, most of what a user would need to carry out with a part is present, for example, a part can be edited or a new job can be made. The command panel is divided into multiple sections with each section containing items grouped by relevance.

New Job – Create a new job with the selected part.
Re-import – Submit the part for re-import.
Re-tool – Submit the part for re-tooling. The user can choose which machine the part should be re-tooled on.
Assign Material – This option is used to select a material if there has been no material assigned to the part or to change the material that has been assigned.
Rolling Direction – This is used to state the grain of the material.
More – This option will display the Part Settings dialogue, here more information regarding the part can be entered such as the Part ID, Customer, Job ID, Tags, etc.
Prev – This is a navigational switch to display the previous part.
Next – This is a navigational switch to display the next part.
Toolings – This is a navigational switch which displays the tooling of the part.
Same Material – This will filter all the parts with the same material to the same view.
Same State – This will filter all parts with the same state as the current part to the same view.
Same Bend Count – This will filter all parts with the same bend count as the current part to the same view.

Batch Mode

To batch process multiple parts, use the Ctrl key and click to select the precise parts or click on the first part, hold the shift key and select the last desired part, this will highlight all parts between the two parts. Once the parts are highlighted click to display the multiple items panel. Any modification processed in this panel will be done to every part selected.

Assign Customer

We can add and assign a customer to one or more parts using the Assign Customer… part menu command. The selected customer is also assigned to the part and the tooling contents (Part and Tooling FX files).

Assign the <Empty> customer value from the customer assignment dialogue to erase the customer tooling field.
