Double-V Holders

Below, we can see a sample Double-V Holder DXF drawing. An origin reference point will need to be placed at the mounting point on the side profile of the tool.

The following text entities are required for a Sash punch:

NAME – This is the name given for the tool.

TONNAGE – This is the tonnage of the tool in kN.

UPPER – This is the upper die valency of the tool to be mounted into the holder.

LOWER – This is the lower die valency for the holder.

PIECES – These are the required tool lengths. These are separated by a comma, and if more than one is required, we can use a multiplier to specify the value required.

FLAVOR=DVHolder – This marks the tool as a Double-V holder.

PARAMS – This text provides metrics to shift the die to the other slot in the holder, shown as A in the image. See below the PARAMS explanation for more details.

HEIGHT – This is the height of the tool measured from the mounting point to the top of the tool.

CANFLIP – If the tool can be flipped when mounted, this should be set to 1.

GROUP – This can be used to specify the tool group that this tool would belong to. In this case, it is Extender.

PARAMS Explanation

There are two parameters required to define this tool.

The first parameter (0mm in this example) defines how far the first slot, relative to the holder reference is. In this case, since the first slot is aligned to the reference point the value is 0.

A – The second parameter defines how far the second slot is from the reference point of the holder.
