In this lesson we will go through the methods of importing files and setting materials.

In this section we are going to look at the basic workflow of bend, lets start importing a cad file.

Bend has the capability to import multiple file formats from 2D to 3D and to import them can be completed 1 of 3 ways.
Option 1 Drag and drop
Option 2 Clicking File Open and selecting the file(s) to open
Option 3 Using Keyboard Shortcut O and selecting the files(s) to open

Once a file is Imported you will see information about it on the task pane which initially covers the part name and material used, if the material displays as NONE then the import was not able to read the material information from the cad file, or it was not available to read.

Material can be easily assigned by clicking on NONE and selecting a material from the list.
