Materials
To edit the Materials Database, select the database icon found on the left of the launch screen or use the shortcut key D. Then select Materials from the list or use shortcut key B. The materials dialogue is displayed, as shown in the image below, allowing editing and new materials to be added.

All – All available materials are displayed here.
Name – The designation of the selected material.
Display Name – The selected material is displayed under this name.
Tensile Strength – This section is used to specify the maximum stress that a material can withstand while being stretched or pulled before breaking.
Density – This section is used to specify the measurement of how tightly a material is packed together. It is defined as the mass per unit volume density of the selected material.
Springback Factor – This function is used to specify the overbend to the bending angle, which is angularly past the required bent angle, compensating for the spring back.
Magnetic – Turn on this feature to state whether the selected material is magnetic.
K-Factors – This function is used to add or delete K Factors for the selected material.
Aliases – Set here the different names that the selected material is also known as. When having a material which uses the same properties as another material, setting an alias will automatically use these properties allowing a smaller database.
Add – This function is used to add new material. The properties can then be specified.
Delete – This function is used to delete the selected material. This does not work with the standard materials.
Close – Select this to close the Materials screen. The option to save is presented if the materials lists have been edited, before closing.
