Sort and Filter Search Criteria
To filter through parts and/or jobs, Praxis has a sort and filter function to find and select items quickly. To do this, select the filter menu to the right of the search by field or scroll through the available filter fields using the left and right keys. The search box should be empty and focused for this shortcut to work. On selection, the search box displays the field name with highlighted text. In the same section, enter a search term in the search textbox, and the parts list is updated with the matching items as the search term is typed. With numeric fields such as thickness, weight, and so on, use the keys >, >=, =, =, and =. Non-numeric fields (e.g., name, material, etc.) are always searched using the contains operator. Similarly, the sort menu can be used to select filter fields. The selected field is added to filter the parts further. Click on the sort field to toggle the sort direction and click on the close button to remove the sort or filter criteria from the list.
When the desired filters and sort fields have been implemented, the user can use the save filter command to add to the filter menu on the left of the screen. The save filter command is used to save the filter and sort combinations by name. The Save Filter dialogue can also be used to delete pre-existing filters. Selecting from an existing item overwrites the current filter with the new filter.
Click on the Filter Selection menu button from the right-hand side or use the V shortcut key to select a filter. Select the All option to clear filters and list all items. There are also alpha-numeric hotkeys A-Z available to be able to jump to select a filter from the list.
