Trace Outline

The Trace Outline command is used to outline punch tooling and generate a polyline from it. 

This is useful if you have punch tooling, but no reference geometry for it. For instance, after you have imported punch tooling from the NC code. The reference geometry can then be cleaned up and used as base geometry from which new tooling can be created for another machine or laser cutting.

The image above shows tooling on the left and the geometry that was created from it using the trace outline command on the right.
