View Setup
This command is used to display the View Settings dialogue.
/The options allow you to turn on and off various display elements in the Punch tooling pane. Below are the different options and what they will display.
Shade punched areas: Colours the areas that will be punched out, instead of just drawing the outline of the punch.
Stripper footprint: Displays the stripper pad’s footprint for each punch, to indicate the areas on the sheet that will be in contact with the stripper pads.
Rapid traverse lines: Turn on this option to view the traverse path between punches. (The part must have been tooled and sequenced for the traverse lines to be visible). The traverse lines are drawn in dotted lines.
Sheet boundary: Display the sheet boundary in solid grey.
Sheet margins: Display the margins you have placed on the four edges of the sheet, by displaying a margin rectangle inside the sheet boundary.
Frames: Display the machine’s working frames (stroke limits).
Work holder positions: Display the clamp positions for each frame. If there are multiple frames, the frame numbers are displayed under each clamp. The clamps for the first frame are displayed in solid lines and for the other frames in dotted lines.
Unpunched segments: Shows segments (or parts of segments) with no tooling in red.
Side wirejoint markers: Displays the wirejoints flanking the punches, instead of drawing them in line with the punches.
Crushed forming areas: If there are any forming punches whose formed areas are subsequently fouling with an adjacent hit’s stripper footprint, the formed area will be crushed. This option highlights such crushed forming punches with a red cross-hatch.
Duplicate punches: Highlights duplicate punches with a green cross-hatch.
Every tool hit: Displays the outline of each tool hit in dotted lines.
Stripper Fouling Clamp: If you turn this on, MetaCAM highlights tooling where the stripper footprint will foul with the clamp. For this to work, turn off the Clamp check setting in the part properties first. Otherwise, the clamp dead zones will be checked against the tool range (like usual) and footprints that are non-standard will not be recognized correctly. With the clamp check turned off, and this check turned on, MetaCAM ignores the actual clamp dead zones and checks the exact stripper footprint (including non-standard size or shape footprints) against the actual clamp boundary.
Show Slugs: Fill the slugs in solid pink.
Drag Vectors: Use this setting for viewing or hiding the chute drag vectors.
Draw Unloader Lift Tag: This option is for machines which have part pickers, enabling this option will show when an unloader is being used on the part.
